Performance-driven Behavior coaching basics
Performance-driven behavior coaching helps leaders and coaches close the gap between knowing and doing.
As Audrey Daniels, PhD, authority on human behavior in the workplace stated:
The behavior of people is the only way anything is accomplished in a company. Knowing as a leader about behavior and how to steer it, allows you to bring the best out in people.
What is Performance-driven Behavior coaching?
Performance-driven behavior coaching is about steering behavioral change — it is essentially a structured method to help people adopt, practice, and sustain new behaviors that lead to better performance. It works by helping the coachee:
- gain self-awareness about their current behavior,
- identify specific behaviors that limit or enable performance,
- practice new habits aligned with their goals,
- receive ongoing feedback, reinforcement, and accountability, and
- embed the new behavior until it becomes consistent.
Unlike personality, which is relatively stable, success behavior is situational. Identify what drives or blocks success behavior adoption by examining the broader context — the physical and social environment, the impact of behavior on the individual and the team, and the potential barriers or enablers

Addressing these factors makes behavioral shifts both possible and sustainable. In this training, you will learn practical tools to guide your coachee through this process and support them in developing a personal Behavior Success Plan.
The basics training modules:
What we aim for with the basics training: In your next coaching session, you identify the moment your coachee needs/wants to adapts his/her way-of-working and use this trigger to start experimenting with behavioral coaching.
